THE WOODS

Our specialized products are in wooden teak wood furniture, and we are really concern about the material, not only for the quality but also legality. From the beginning we are using only the plantation wood which is came from plantation area. so when "stop illegal logging" campaign" and the world program to reduce "global warming"  we are already in the line.

 

    This is our little secret which will make a big difference:

 
 

There are two type of teak wood in the market:

 

1. Plantation Wood  (Wood 1) 

This type of wood are provided only from Indonesian forest Ministry from their plantation area which is manage by PT. PERHUTANI as you can see in the picture above, there is differences, picture #1 ( wood.1)  there are no bark covered the wood, in this type of woods, normally they remove the bark after they chopped the tree, put in the plantation field and dried by the sun. From our experience when we slice it  they only have 25% of humidity maximal. We know the consequences with using this type of wood as it more expensive than the other, but we have to take the consequences to meet best result for our customers and our customer client.

 

2. Folks wood (Kayu Rakyat) (Wood 2) 

This type of wood are provided or chopped from people backyard, Oppositely, even they lay down for along time and dried by the sun it really hard to get dry as long they still have bark on it, in this type of wood, normally they have 45% until 65% of humidity when we slice it.

 

 

 

PRE PRODUCTIONS

After we slice the wood, it directly goes to our own kiln and dried chamber, it takes only two weeks to get under 10% of humidity, and will raise another 5% out side the chamber. Our equipped staff will check one by one and only choose the woods with under 15% of humidity to produce.

 

PRODUCTION

10 years ago we start the business by buying the furniture's from java. it was hard to control the production and mostly so we couldn't complete the order on schedule .  Starting from 2000 we had decided to produce the furniture in our own factory in Bali. Supported by well equipped and talented carpenter, which work in 20 acre wide of workshop, we are sure that we can produce the quality of furniture's on time.

 

Do you know the sound of furniture?, it's sound like gun fire!, even the wood for the furniture already kilned the wood still have a chance to move, so when it move and the construction can't handle the moving (specially for Europe weather) , the furniture will make a sound bang!...

we have lots of information's regarding to this problem and now we have special constructions to defeat it.

 

 

 

FINISHING

There are many type of finishing material, but in the modern type of finishing material, most of them using toxic material, it's not deadly but it's not friendly for live and nature. As we have philosophy "the best way to survive is being good to the mother of nature" we are committed using only natural material into our products such as natural wax and sirlack.
